Linda Aitchison – Operations Director
Linda has been a journalist for more than 20 years, gaining a trusted reputation as a national media contributor, PR professional and author. As well as being heavily involved in the day to day running of the business, she manages the editorial team and is regularly commissioned to write features for national newspapers and magazines. Linda is also an established and highly regarded blogger and she runs our blogging and Twitter workshops. She also runs training sessions for freelance writers.
Carol Owen – Managing Director
Along with Linda, Carol has been the driving force behind the success and growth of The Marketing Room. Three years after they set up the business, Carol’s success led to her being named as the UK’s Most Exceptional Working Mum. Carol heads up the sales and marketing team. She also runs workshops on LinkedIn and Facebook is available for speaking opportunities on the topics of social media and marketing.
Julie Metcalfe – Creative Director
Julie has been a graphic designer for 15 years and has a BA Hons in graphic design. She has extensive experience working as an in-house designer for large companies including Carillion Plc. Her work with our clients involves producing designs for a wide range of marketing materials from print to web. Her flair for design in social media was recently highlighted in Marketing Week for her work with one of our major retail clients.
Helen Moffat – Operations Manager
Helen has more than 20 years’ experience working in the media, having started a career in journalism on newspapers in the north-east before moving to the Express & Star, where she worked as chief reporter and news editor at the paper’s head office. Helen’s role in the company includes managing PR and social media accounts, overseeing copy-writing, forward-planning and campaign management.
